Bulgarian Wine Society is created as an independent mediator between the producers and importers of wine from one side and the consumers from the other. The main issues of our business activities are independence,expert competence and quality . Our mission is to upgrade the wine culture of the Bulgarians by educating them how to taste wine and how to recognize and distinguish wine’s characteristics in order to evaluate it properly. Bulgarian Wine Society popularizes quality wines, in open wine tasting sessions held by a commission that includes an expert-enologist, sommelier and a leading journalist in this branch .The commission is in variable membersship in order to keep its independence and expert opinion . The results of the wine tasting sessions are sealed in the presence of a notary and are published in the form of “Bulgarian Wine Society Ratings” in a popular monthly edition "ELLE" as well as newspapers "Politika" and "Sega". The open tasting sessions are carried out every Thursday from 18.00 till 20.00 o’clock in the Sofia Hall - WTA Interpred. There you will have the chance to enjoy the taste of seven kindes of wine, from the wine cellar featured on the day, dined with corresponding appetizers.The experts from the Bulgarian Wine Society will instruct you how to taste wine , what wine’s characteristics you ought to pay attention to enjoy the drink thoroughly .
